SWPL PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Santa Clara SCs Tamba Mattia

LA MIRADA, CA (October 30, 2024) – Santa Clara SC forward Tamba Mattia has been selected SWPL Player of the Week.

Mattia scored three goals as Santa Clara SC defeated JASA RWC 8-1 in a Pacific Premier League 1st Division match at Reed & Grant Sports Park in Redwood City, CA, on Saturday, Oct. 26.

Born in Sierra Leone, Mattia was a four-year captain of the Santa Clara High School varsity team. He has previously played at University of San Francisco and San Jose State (NCAA).

The SWPL Player of the Week is selected from nominations from league members.
