LOS BANOS, Calif. (July 15, 2022) – The Southwest Premier League (SWPL) announces Los Banos FC as its newest member.

A young club in search of fair play and high-level amateur competition, Los Banos FC will join Pacific Premier for the 2022/2023 season.

“The SWPL gives us better options and opportunities for our players as well as upcoming local talent,” Los Banos FC’s Ricardo Soria said. “We started looking into it (and) the SWPL gives you more options to work with and continue building a club, where in the UPSL you don’t go anywhere else. You’re just stuck there. There’s no advancement.”

With a foundation in family, Los Banos FC is managed by Armando Valtierra and four of his seven sons currently play on the club’s first team. Jose Valtierra serves as coach and player.

“We’re a very competitive team and that’s what attracted us to the SWPL,” Soria said. “I like the style. That’s what impressed me. It’s completely different over here.”

Los Banos FC recently completed the 2022 Spring Season in the UPSL Division 1 NorCal Division. The club currently operates boys under-13, under-15 and under-17 teams in its youth academy.
