JASA RWC Joins the SWPL

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. (July 14, 2022) – The Southwest Premier League (SWPL) announces JASA RWC as its newest member.

A burgeoning Bay Area club with more than 20 years of history across multiple regional and national leagues, JASA's top men's and under-23 sides will join Pacific Premier for the 2022/2023 season.

“Our board is very interested by the structure and opportunities presented by the SWPL,” Board Member Jake Morrison said. “The obvious one is the association with NISA but also the incredible line up of associations from other amateur organizations – from Cascadia to the Midwest and Gulf Coast – that are coming together to collaborate and feed into an existing professional tier.”

Created by Tono Aspinall in 1999, JASA RWC has had a number of caretakers while maintaining a highly competitive avenue for local players and serving to enrich its community on and off the field.

“This was the perfect moment to get our programs under one umbrella, from registrations to competitions structure, while also providing addition merit-based opportunities,” Morrison said. ‘This will provide a unique environment for our programs to strengthen our on-the-field product and sharpen our business practices.”

JASA RWC won the UPSL Wild West Division in 2018 and has previously participated in the qualifying rounds for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
